Healthy children grow to be healthy adults
First Choice wants parents to make sure their children are getting regular medical check-ups. These regular check-ups are called well-child visits. Well-child visits are important for all children from birth to age 21. Well-child visits are available at no cost to members. Call your child's PCP office to make an appointment. When you call, tell them that your child is a First Choice member.
What to expect at your child's well visit
Well-visits include:
- Eye and hearing tests
- Blood pressure check
- Dental checkup
- Any needed shots (immunizations)
- Any needed lab tests
- A check for proper growth and development
- Advice about growth progress
