Chlamydia screening initiative
South Carolina has the fifth highest rate of chlamydia infection in terms of cases per 100,000, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As the leading cause of preventable infertility in the U.S., it’s a disease with a widespread impact, especially among sexually active young women in their late teenage and early adult years.
How you can help
As part of our 2016 – 2018 quality improvement initiative, Select Health of South Carolina is working to improve chlamydia screening rates for our teen populations. We need your help in this collaborative improvement effort.
