Select Health Of South Carolina Wins Two Aster AwardsHonor marks second year Select Health has received recognitionMay 20, 2008 North Charleston, SC Select Health of South Carolina received silver and bronze awards in the 2008 Aster Awards competition. Hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images, Inc., the Aster Awards is one of the largest competitions of its kind. This elite national program recognizes outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising and marketing efforts. Select Health received a silver award for its auto-enrollment communications campaign which consisted of outdoor and broadcast (television and radio) advertising. In addition, the company won a bronze award for its 2007 annual report to the community. With more than 3,000 entries, participants in the Aster Awards compete against similarly sized organizations from across the United States. Entries must score at least in the top 85 percent to receive an award. Judging criteria includes creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. "Select Health is among the top in the nation for healthcare advertising expertise… specifically scoring in the top 12 percent for the silver award and the top 16 percent for the bronze award. It was an honor to have Select Health participate in the 2008 Aster Awards," said Melinda R. Lucas, Aster Awards Program Coordinator. "They exceeded the judges' expectations." Entries in the Aster Awards were judged by a diverse panel of healthcare marketing experts.
